Recycling clothes will help to save our planet
Clothing waste is a significant contributor to landfills. By recycling clothes, we divert textiles from landfills, which helps to prevent the release of harmful chemicals and greenhouse gases produced during decomposition.
Recycling clothes also reduces the demand for new raw materials, such as cotton, polyester, and other textiles. This conserves water, energy, and other resources required for the product of new garments.
Recycling clothes also requires less energy compared to producing new clothes from scratch. Manufacturing textiles, especially synthetic fibres like polyester, is energy-intensive. Recycling clothes helps cut down on energy consumption.
At Collection 4 Clothes we are keen to form new partnerships with organisations who share our values. In July 2023, as a part of our CSR around Environmental & Sustainability, we have partnered with Ecologi who are helping us to do even more for our planet by supporting tree and environmental impact projects on a monthly basis. To kick off our partnership, we have funded 425 trees in July.
