Environmental & Sustainability Policy
At Collection4Clothes we have been very conscious of our recycling journey with door 2 door charity bags, we have spent the last 18 months trying to find ways where we can counteract the impact of plastic usage in the environment.
As there are no commercially financial alternatives to plastic, we have encouraged the use of using recycled plastic for our bags (we are currently using 40% recycled plastic which is the maximum at present for our bags) this is constantly under review, however, to make it 100% recyclable we have partnered with Centurion Recycling Division where any unwanted bags can be sent back for recycling.
We are excited to share that we have also found a helpful solution to help degrade our bags.
From October 2023 all our charity partner bags in circulation will be made using an oxo-biodegradable additive which is added to the plastic at the point of manufacture the Epi additive is helpful to the environment as it helps to accelerate the degradation process a lot quicker than normal untreated plastic.
As well as this industry leading move we have also partnered with Ecologi where each month we the fund planting of trees and community projects will here in the UK and across the world.
