Please email info@collection4clothes.co.uk or call 0330 165 5197 with your postcode and contact number, we will contact you and arrange a collection.
We are unable to take specific bag orders unless we have a collection team that operates in your postcode area. For personal collections, you do not need one of our bags and can store your donations in refuse bags, boxes, or bin bags. If you have never received one of our bags, we currently do not have a team in your area. If you have a large collection and never received one of our bags, please email info@collection4clothes.co.uk and we will check driver availability.
If your items do not fit in 1 bag, please use black bags and boxes. Place these bags and boxes along with the Collection4Clothes+ bag, making sure the Collection4Clothes+ is visible. Our drivers will collect all the items.
Monday to Friday 8AM - 3PM. The Collection4Clothes+ bag you have received will say the day your bag will be collected on the outer sleeve.
Nationwide we accept all varieties of clothing that is in a donatable condition. This includes clothing accessories such as shoes, handbags, purses, and belts. Donations of non-clothing items will vary, depending where you live in the UK. The bag you receive in the post will specify every non-clothing variety of donations we collect in your area.
Non-clothing donations that we accept include:
Sports equipment, bath mats, kitchenware, jewellery, children’s toys and games, golf clubs, pots and pans, paintings, ornaments, trinkets, antiques, hand tools, cutlery, crockery, pet accessories, baby items,
car seats, pushchairs, prams and other bric-a-brac.
We only accept donations of books, used bedding and curtains in the West Midlands. We currently do not accept DVDs, VHS tapes or CDs. If you need clarification on if we can accept an item, please contact
info@collection4clothes.co.uk
Unfortunately, currently we do not collect large furniture or mattresses.
Currently our bags are not biodegradable, however we are looking into this and when it is financially viable, we will be making the switch to biodegradable bags by the end of 2023.
When you receive a bag through your post, our team are only in your area on the day specified on the bag following its delivery, our collection teams do not collect in your area every week. If you suspect you have a bag from a previous collection, please wait for a new bag to come through your post, which should be 2-3 weeks after your last collection.
You can return the bag to us, by posting it back to:
Collection4Clothes
Fort Dunlop Building
Fort Parkway
Birmingham
B24 9DF
Alternatively, you can leave our bags outside on the collection date and our drivers will pick up any unused plastic bags during their rounds where they can be reused by supporters that use our services.
Collection4Clothes+ is not a registered charity, however we are registered with the Fundraising Regulator. We are a fundraising business that collects donations on our partnered charity’s behalf.
If you are unable to leave the bag in clear view of the road, please give us a call or an email. We can let our drivers know to knock on your door to collect your donations. If you can leave them outside (e.g., placed by your front door), this is fine if it is visible from the road. If the bags are left outside your property and they are not in sight of the road, please contact us and we can let the driver know the location of your donations.
All our drivers will have Collection4Clothes+ logo on their vehicles, as well as the logos of all the charity partners. They also carry ID cards which will have their name.
If someone that isn’t us has taken your bag, please contact us and let us know. Our customer service will need to be provided with a postcode so they can alert our driver in the area, any additional information such as vehicle registrations or CCTV/Ring doorbell footage would also be helpful to us.
If you do have a large donation which is 5+ bags and do not want to risk the possibility of them being taken by someone they weren’t intended for, please contact us and we can organise safer alternatives to collect your donations.
Through busy periods, our small team of customer service handles may get inundated with calls. If your call does not get answered regarding a missed collection, or any other enquiry that requires us to take details, please leave a clear voicemail with the first line of your address and postcode and our customer service team will be in touch on the same day. Alternatively send an email to info@collection4clothes.co.uk where a member of our customer service team will deal with your enquiry more promptly.
Our drivers continue their collections in all sorts of weather, and we do get a lot of calls from people that are concerned about their donations getting wet. To prevent this, double bag our donation bag with a black refuse bag or bin bag to make it waterproof and protect it from the unpredictable elements of the British weather.
All donations that are collected by Collection4Clothes+ are sorted at our multiple warehouse sites around the UK. They are sent via trucks to least economically developed countries in Eastern Europe, Africa, South-East Asia, and the Middle East where they are sold at local affordable prices that benefit their local communities. The royalties made from these sales is what is donated to our charity partners on a monthly basis.
Our partnered charities have the Collection4Clothes+ logo on their websites to ensure that their supporters know that we are an authentic organisation. Please call us if you require any other information.
