Edinburgh’s residents are known as ‘Edinburghers’ and they are renowned for their warmth, hospitality and generosity.
We are reaching out to all Edinburghers in the hope that you can spend a small amount of time to donate clothes and any other small unwanted household items, which will be turned into cash for our partner charities.
Our No.1 goal is to help, as much as possible, limit the carbon emissions made by the production of clothing, and we need the help of the public to achieve this.
Recycling your clothes not only helps to extend the life of clothes, it also reduces the amount of clothes ending up in landfills, whilst raising funds for those in need.
How does our Charity Collection Service work?
Book it, Bag It and Leave It Outside!
We operate a nationwide clothes collection service and will collect your clothes donations in Edinburgh on the date shown on your clothes donation bag.
Because we are already collecting in Edinburgh, you may already have received our donation bags through your door. If you haven’t then you can book a clothes collection online and select your preferred charity at the same time.
We just need a few details from you in order to process the collection. All you need to do is gather your donations into one of our bags, or a suitable bin bag or box, and we will pick up on the notified date.

We offer a bulk clothes collection service to any educational establishment in Edinburgh. If you are interested in promoting clothes recycling in your establishment, please get in touch. We can also provide a clothes bank recycling unit, either for indoor use, or external use.
As a thank you for helping us raise awareness and providing much needed support to our partner charities, we will pay £400 per ton or 40p per KG – this could mean a minimum of £1200.00 per year (if you donate a ton of clothes and items per calendar quarter!) providing vital funding for your school.

We would love to partner with more Edinburgh businesses who are wanting to get involved with an eco-initiative that not only helps the local community, but will also do your bit for the environment and will help deserving charities in the UK and across the world.
If you are a business who wants to be involved in our Collection 4 Clothes recycling initiative, we will pay a business to have one of our clothes banks recycling units installed on the premises, on an annual basis.

Collection4Clothes is an ethical recycling business in the West Midlands and we provide a win-win clothes recycling solution that our team is immensely proud of. We do our bit to help the environment, build the funds of charities and recycle items to give them a new lease of life.
What happens to the clothes you donate?
100% of the donations we collect is shipped to least economically developed countries in parts of Eastern Europe, Africa, and Asia where they are sold at local affordable prices to the communities in these countries.
Anything we have collected that is not deemed to be in re-useable condition, our buyers in these countries ethically recycle these items and the materials are used in local item production.
